Not sure I know how to do that though but I’ll try

better weekend than I expected

Hi buddies
I hope you are all doing well this fine Monday
I was quite concerned going into the weekend that it would be very tough to stay on track but I really surprised myself and did very well
My goal was to not gain any weight over the weekend and believe me that was a big one for me
But when I stepped on the scale this morning it showed a loss from Thursday til now so I am just thrilled about that
Thanks for all your great ideas about grocery shopping and meal planning.  I really had fun at the grocery store reading labels even though it was one of my longest grocery trips ever.  WHAT AN EYE OPENER.
One thing that was disappointing is that I couldn’t find any of the salad dressing sprays that I have heard some of you talk about.  I asked at the register about them and was told they aren’t available in Canada yet.  Now thats a bummer.
I did make some really healthy choices though and I’m actually looking forward to some great healthy meals.  Tonight its a chicken stir fry full of vegies and a few shrimp thrown in for good measure.  YUM YUM I can hardly wait.

Thanks again for all your support buddies and I hope you are all doing well

weekend groceries

Hi gang
I’m going grocery shopping on the weekend and want to make some really healthy choices for the next week.  So I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for me.
I’m open to any kind of suggestions from maindish, sides, snacks etc.
I hear you talk about 100 cal packs but not sure what thats about.  I’ll have to look for them.

I suspect my grocery trip will take a little longer than usual this time.  I will be reading labels very closely.  Do you know that I didn’t know calories were listed on the back of almost any food you buy?  I know, where have I been?
Oh well getting on track now, better late than never.

This weekend I am going to make sure I get off my butt and get moving and make healthier food choices.  The last weekend was a disaster for me and very depressing so I can’t have a repeat of that.  Gotta go into this one with the right attitude and healthy and satisfying foods so that I can stick with this.z

I hope you are all doing well.  I love being able to read everyones stories.  Such a wide range of people all here for the same reason.  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

weekends are SO hard

I’m beginning to hate weekends.  It seems like the hard work I did all week was for nothing.  There are so many temptations and lack of routine sure doesnt help.  Having my hubby and son around all weekend long makes things so tough.  I know thats not fair and its not their fault and thats its all up to me.  I just wish it was easier.
I think if I could do away with weekends for a couple of months then I would do so much better.
Hows that for logic?
Oh well tomorrows another week and back on the horse I get
I hope you are having a more successful weekend than I am as far as food and excercise goes.
Take care buddies

confused about pork

Hi gang
I am very confused about pork.  I always thought it was very fatty and not something I should be eating.  Now I hear it lumped in with chicken and fish as something that should be eaten.  Is this true?  If I am buying pork what should I be looking for?  I really am totally confused on this one.  Do I look for lean pork chops? - is there even such a thing?
Please help
Thanks and I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and taking care of yourselves

Curves

Hi Everyone
I was just wondering about Curves the fitness program.  I’ve read in the blogs that some of you go to it and I’m wondering what you think of it.  I’ve never been to any type of gym before and its very intimidating.  I guess its the unknown for me and the big step of getting started.  Anyway if you have info to share with me about it I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Hi - My 1st Week

Hi there
I discovered this site on Monday and have been doing very well all week staying motivated and eating healthy foods and watching my calories.  I never knew how to count calories before.  I really had no idea how many calories were in what.  I mean yes I knew that some obvious foods are higher and lower.  But since using the food journal its all so clear.  I love reading all the comments and ideas from people here.  It’s terrific how everyone is so supportive.  I guess cause we are all here for the same reason.
One thing that concerns me right now is that the weekend is coming up.  While I’ve done well all week weekends are always worse for me.  Does anyone else find that?  Any good ideas for coping with that?
Bye for now
oh one other question - I have my tracker where it shows my weight loss and goals but it isnt shown unless I go into it.  I notice other people have theirs showing all the time when they type anything.  I think that would be very motivational.  How do I change mine to do that?
Thanks
Lori
