Hi - My 1st Week

Hi there
I discovered this site on Monday and have been doing very well all week staying motivated and eating healthy foods and watching my calories.  I never knew how to count calories before.  I really had no idea how many calories were in what.  I mean yes I knew that some obvious foods are higher and lower.  But since using the food journal its all so clear.  I love reading all the comments and ideas from people here.  It’s terrific how everyone is so supportive.  I guess cause we are all here for the same reason.
One thing that concerns me right now is that the weekend is coming up.  While I’ve done well all week weekends are always worse for me.  Does anyone else find that?  Any good ideas for coping with that?

oh one other question - I have my tracker where it shows my weight loss and goals but it isnt shown unless I go into it.  I notice other people have theirs showing all the time when they type anything.  I think that would be very motivational.  How do I change mine to do that?

    Welcome Lori-

    I count calories too…ANd yes…WEekends were hard for  long long time…Just take one weekend at a time…And talk yourself through them…

    You need to change your privacy setting on your tracker so that it shows for us too…

    I just finished my first week Thursday and lost a pound YAHOOOO, You are right this site is great and very supportive. The weekends are also hard for me, But I have found that reading helps take my mind off food. Good Luck.

    Weekends are so hard for me as well.  I dont really have any great idea on how to fix that but i do know that I have made a personal goal to make this weekend count.  I dont want to work hard all week just to take away from that on my days off.  Good luck girl.  I’ll be thinking about you as I head through my struggle

    I too have problems with the weekends but I also treat myself and I wait until the weekends to do it….. That way it’s only one day out of seven….. That’s not so bad…What do you think???
