TREADMILLS????

Hello Buddies

I hope you are all doing well and that you have a great weekend.

I am looking for some advice.

I am seriously looking into buying a treadmill. It is quite an investment so I want to make sure I make a wise choice but don’t have much experience (ok none) with them.

One difference I notice in the ones that are much less expensive is the size of the belt. I’m wondering how much difference that makes.

Also what other things should I be looking for?

I don’t think I need one with all the bells and whistles if it’s going to cost a ton more but I don’t want to regret my purchase either.

I love the idea of having a calorie counter on them, I think that could help push me along.

So if you can help me by sharing your experiences I would really appreciate it.

Hi Lori, I have had my treadmill for 6 or so years now and haven’t had to do a thing to it, should oil the belt though.

It’s a Free Spirit, it has programs on it, and you can make your own as well, the other options it has are, speed,distance,time,calories,incline, and a place for the water bottle. I have been really happy with it.

We bought it at Sears, I don’t know if they still carry them, but I would probably say yes.

Good luck on the treadmill search/shopping. It has been a great investment for me!!

Oh, I forgot to tell you. The belt is wide enough, no problems there. Also when you shop for one, test it to see how loud it is. Some are REALLY loud. Mine is pretty good.

Sears does still have that brand.
I never thought to check for how loud they are.
I’m a bit self concious about using them in the store but I ‘ll guess if I’m gonna buy one I’m gonna have to hop on.

I think buying a treadmill is a great idea. I used to have one but it was so old that it would get hot and quit on me right in the middle of a workout, nearly throwing me off of it!!! Sometimes it was quite funny!! Now, I just use the ones at the Y. I get upset when they are full though!!!! Maybe I should go buy another one! Let me know what you end up getting!!! Good luck!

I love my treadmill, I bought mine from HSN and have never had a problem with it, plus I got to do the split payments, I bought it over a year ago and love the fans on it . check them out !
