stuck at 30 and frustrated

Good Morning Buddies
and Happy Friday!!!!!
I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend and that you have some sunshine in your life.
 
I am really frustrated right now.  I’ve lost 30 lbs and I just seem to be stuck here and it feels like I will be forever.
IT’S SO FRUSTRATING   I have been eating right and exercising but the scales not moving.  Or it moves a tiny bit down then a tiny bit back up but thats it.
I think the hardest part is that its been very difficult fitting in my exercise but I’ve been working hard at that and doing it.  I would think the scale should be moving in the right direction.
 
Tonight I have dinner plans at Boston Pizza of all places and I’m very unhappy about that.
I’m trying to look at the positive aspects like how lucky I am to be going out with family and friends and how much I love spending time with them but I looked up some of the calories in some of Bostons food last night online and that was very discouraging.
I’ll have to take a closer look and try to find something thats not as bad as the rest I guess.
Does anyone else eat at Boston Pizza and have any ideas of good choices there?
 
It’s still early here 7:30 am.  I’m going to go for a walk this morning with my Day Care children in the rain it looks like.  Thats okay they’ll love that.  I do enjoy that time with them so much.  This afternoon after a good healthy low cal lunch I’ll exercise to my DVD.  I will stick to my guns and I know the weight will come off just frustrated right now and had to get that out of my system.

I’m struggling a bit right now.  Having a very hard time feeling motivated and I hate that.

So I planned my meals out for the day in hopes of staying within my calories.

I’ll do my exercises even though yesterday it was such a challenge to do them.  I was sore and tired but I still did them.

I sure hope this feeling passes soon.

I hope you are all well and that if you are struggling too that you find a way to get past that and to be strong.

I felt the need to blog to get out my feelings and to keep me here and to keep me on track.

So far today I am still On Plan.

I just finished doing my exerc. DVD for 25 mins. (thats about all I can manage at a time so far)

I also did it this morning and feeling great about it.

I am counting my calories and looks like I can stay within my cals. including dinner tonight.  It’s the after dinner part that seems to be getting me lately but tonight I’m going to try to go for a walk after supper and stay away from the snacks.

One thing I was wondering about and maybe some of you have some ideas.  I’m wondering what is the best time to exercise.  If there’s a time when more calories are burned or if its all the same and just a matter of preference.  Also I have been doing my DVD once in the morning and once in the afternoon.  Is that alot less effective than if I did an hour at one time?  I wonder about eating before or after exercising too.  This is all so new to me.  If any of you can help I would love to get your comments and your experiences with the whole thing.

Successful dinner

Thank you buddies for your ideas for my family dinner tonight.
I was able to make some healthy foods to go along with some not quite as healthy ones and I kept everyone happy.
Best of all I was able to eat and not feel deprived and keep within my calories. 
I’m so excited about it and it’s paved my way for a great weekend of eating right and excersizing. 
I am going to make sure I stay on track this weekend and don’t undo all the work I’ve done so far.

FAMILY DINNER - ideas?

First of all HAPPY VALENTINES day buddies
I hope you all have a happy and warm day.  I know many of you are dealing with snowstorms etc.  Think Spring!

Now I’m hosting a family dinner on Friday night and am looking for some ideas.  Normally I make something like lasagna or chicken wings but I’m looking for something with a lot less calories.  We normally would have sides like scalloped potatoes, perogies - see my problem here?
Then the very fattening desserts to go along with it.  Gee I wonder how I got to weigh this much in the first place?
As far as dessert goes I have decided to do a nice fruit platter maybe with a yogurt dip.  I know not the best season for fruit but I’ll see what I can find.

The main dish is giving me a headache so I’m hoping that you might have some suggestions for me.  I really want to be able to stay on track this weekend. 
To top it off I also have a potluck dinner to go to on Saturday for my son’s Scout group.
Talk about a weekend of challenges

ITS SO QUIET HERE

Happy Superbowl Sunday Buddies            

It’s SO quiet in my house.  Not quiet like everyone else is sleeping.  JUST quiet.
My guys are away for the weekent (that would by my hubby and teenage son).
I was really looking forward to them being away so that I could get a lot of things done around the house.
Well now it’s Sunday and I still have a lot of those things to do.
The good news is that it’s only 5:30 AM so I still have lots of time to work on them.
I know I should be sleeping but like I said the house is SO quiet.  I also have this dang cold that sure doesn’t help to sleep.

I did have a GREAT day yesterday. 
I finally picked out my new glasses - I had been putting that off for awhile.  So that was a huge accomplishment on its own.
I found some excercise DVDs at Walmart and a couple more at Superstore so I’m excited about that. 
One that I put in yesterday is a dancing one and thats more what I was looking for.  One that I can have fun with, that gets me up and moving.
Not so much the workout, workout type if you know what I mean.  Atleast for now anyway.
I hope I use them all even if not right away.  I think a couple of them will be better a little ways down the road but thats alright too.

I was also able to stick within my calories so I’m thrilled with that.
I’m so happy that I found Buddly Slim.
For the first time in my life I actually feel like I can do this and I know that I will succeed.
Reading all of your blogs helps so much.
Some make me laugh and some make me cry but they all make me think.
I love how some of you have said that even if you mess up one day that doesn’t have to be the end.  Just to get back up the next day or for the rest of the afternoon and keep going.  I LOVE THAT.
That is where I used to go wrong. 
Now I don’t feel so much pressure and as a result not messing up the way I used to (Knock on wood - my head, as my father would say, and watch for splinters).

I loved how Dawn talked about dropping so many sizes (WAY TO GO DAWN!!!) 
Reading that I realized I have never dropped a size in my life.  How sad is that?
I have always gone up.
Reading that I realized that size 22 is where I stop and start going down.

weekend groceries

Hi gang
I’m going grocery shopping on the weekend and want to make some really healthy choices for the next week.  So I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for me.   
I’m open to any kind of suggestions from maindish, sides, snacks etc. 
I hear you talk about 100 cal packs but not sure what thats about.  I’ll have to look for them.

I suspect my grocery trip will take a little longer than usual this time.  I will be reading labels very closely.  Do you know that I didn’t know calories were listed on the back of almost any food you buy?  I know, where have I been? 
Oh well getting on track now, better late than never.

This weekend I am going to make sure I get off my butt and get moving and make healthier food choices.  The last weekend was a disaster for me and very depressing so I can’t have a repeat of that.  Gotta go into this one with the right attitude and healthy and satisfying foods so that I can stick with this.z
